As an owner of a cat, i wanted Tulio to behave like a real cat, which is unconventional when compared to other animations with cats in them. I experimented with his design until i had one that was capable of displaying what i wanted. I wanted a face that could display emotion when needed but also showed absence of thought, a blank and empty mind. I would look at my cat and sometimes they would have this hilarious expression of pure empty mindedness with a hint of innocence. And so i settled on my third design because he was lovable, cute and looked very clueless.
