Pre-Production

Once i was confident in my style, character and look of my film i focused on my story. So i have written up a treatment and translated that into a storyboard and animatic. From the beginning my primary goal was to make this animation visually spectacular and animate ballet dancing well. My story, i feel, isn't the strongest but that's ok because i know what i want to get out of creating this animation, to develop a different set of animation skills.

One aspect of my story that i want to highlight is Faith's brother and what that meant for her. This side story is supposed to shed light on mental health but in a very subtle way. I want to leave some aspects of my story open for interpretation, get people talking, it's good if they're confused at first because then it means they have to watch it again and begin to notice things they didn't notice before.

I had decided to remove shots such as this because they didn't add anything to the animation and i had to prioritize shots that would move the story along.

Animatic

This is a snippet of my animatic, and once my full animation is available to the public i will put up my whole animatic.

In this animatic my "temp music"was from a variety of other films that had the vibe and feel i was looking for and would benefit my composer (my brother) and help him create the music i was looking for to drive my story.
